About The Owner
Erik Larson started his career as a nursing assistant in 1997, helping elderly and infirm patients in nursing homes, assisted living, and hospice care. He assisted many patients in their last stages of life, and stood by as a support to the bereaved after all that could be done was done. In 2004, he returned to college to study funeral service, psychology, and foreign language, completing his program to become a state-licensed funeral director in 2008.
From serving the homeless of Los Angeles to the celebrities of Beverly Hills, from the largest events to the most humble gatherings, Erik has centered his life around meeting the needs of families during their time of grief. He majors in universal compassion for the bereaved: of all faiths, practices, and backgrounds.
During his career, he has personally served over two thousand families and counting, participating actively in every aspect of the mortuary business. In January 2012, Erik began working on a business plan for a new kind of mortuary for the city: one that would provide the highest-end goods and services for the most considerate prices. Following his vision, he founded and launched Larson Family Mortuary in 2013.
